Roozbeh Finance OS — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Overview
Roozbeh Finance OS is a private, local-first financial management application developed for personal use. It helps organize financial evidence, freelance income, expenses, subscriptions, and financial obligations.
This policy explains how the application accesses and handles information obtained from Google Gmail.
Google Gmail Access
Roozbeh Finance OS uses Google's OAuth authorization process and requests only the gmail.readonly permission.
This access allows the application to read authorized Gmail messages for the purpose of identifying potentially relevant financial information, including invoices, receipts, payment notifications, and subscription renewals.
The application does not send, modify, delete, or archive Gmail messages.
Information Processing and Storage
Financial information is processed locally on the user's computer.
The application stores selected financial evidence, relevant message metadata, source references, review decisions, and financial records in local storage.
Temporary previews may contain limited, redacted information extracted from Gmail messages.
Complete Gmail message bodies are not retained in the financial database.
OAuth credentials and authorization tokens are stored locally and are not published on this website.
Data Use and Sharing
Gmail information is used only to support the application's financial organization and review functions.
The application does not sell personal or financial information, use Gmail data for advertising, or share Gmail content with advertising networks.
The application does not use Gmail content to train artificial intelligence models.
User Control
Gmail access is authorized by the Google account holder.
Financial evidence is reviewed before import, and reviewing a message does not automatically confirm a payment.
Google account access can be revoked at any time through Google Account security settings:
https://myaccount.google.com/connections
Locally stored financial records and authorization credentials can be deleted from the user's device.
Security
The application operates locally and restricts access to its dashboard through local authentication controls.
Financial records and authorization credentials are kept outside the public website.
No method of data storage or software security can be guaranteed to be completely risk-free.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the application's functionality or data-handling practices change.
